THE OPPORTUNITY
Pace Digital are working exclusively with a globally recognised programme and project management consultancy to appoint a mid-level Data Analyst to join their growing data and analytics team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work across some of the UK's most critical and complex infrastructure programmes spanning utilities, rail, water, and nuclear playing a key role in how data drives decision-making at programme level.
You will be embedded within a high-performing team, working alongside project controls, commercial, and delivery professionals to produce meaningful, data-driven reporting outputs that genuinely influence how major programmes are planned, monitored, and delivered.

THE ROLE — WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Working across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure programmes including utilities, rail, United Utilities water, and nuclear you will be responsible for turning complex programme data into clear, accurate, and insightful reporting outputs that support senior stakeholder decision-making.
• Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving Power BI dashboards and reporting products across multiple live infrastructure programmes
• Collecting, processing, and analysing large and complex datasets from multiple sources across utilities, rail, water, and nuclear programme environments
• Producing accurate, validated, and insightful reporting outputs tailored to the needs of different stakeholder groups including programme directors and client teams
• Supporting cost, programme, and performance reporting in line with project controls frameworks including WBS, CBS, and OBS structures
• Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within programme data to support proactive and informed decision-making
• Working closely with project controls, PMO, commercial, and delivery teams across multiple programmes to gather data requirements and translate them into actionable outputs
• Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting tools and platforms
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of data processes, governance frameworks, and business intelligence tools
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and client-side stakeholders across a complex multi-programme environment
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst within an infrastructure, utilities, rail, water, or energy programme environment
• Strong, demonstrable Power BI skills — dashboard development, DAX, data modelling, and Power Query
• Solid understanding of project controls reporting frameworks — cost, programme, risk, and performance
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and translating them into clear, meaningful insights for non-technical audiences
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — comfortable engaging with senior project and client-side stakeholders
• A detail-oriented, proactive mindset with genuine problem-solving capability
• Degree in a relevant numerate discipline or equivalent industry experience
Desirable
• Experience working across utilities, rail, water, or nuclear programmes specifically
• Familiarity with programme controls tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent
• SQL or Python experience
• Experience within a PMO or programme management consultancy environment
• Knowledge of WBS, CBS, and OBS structures and how they underpin programme reporting
