THE OPPORTUNITY
Pace Digital are working exclusively with a leading infrastructure consultancy to appoint a Data Reporting Analyst to join their utilities-focused project controls and reporting team in London. This is a great opportunity for a reporting specialist with strong Power BI skills and a background in utilities or infrastructure to join a team producing the dashboards, reports, and management information that drive decision-making across some of the UK's most significant capital programmes.

THE ROLE — WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Working as a Data Reporting Analyst across a portfolio of utilities infrastructure programmes, you will be responsible for producing the dashboards, reports, and management information that programme teams and senior stakeholders rely on to make decisions. This is a hands-on reporting role that combines analytical capability with strong attention to detail and excellent stakeholder communication.
• Developing, maintaining, and improving Power BI dashboards and reporting products across utilities infrastructure programmes
• Producing accurate, validated, and insightful management information and reporting packs for programme teams and senior stakeholders
• Collecting and processing data from multiple sources across water, energy, and regulated asset programme environments
• Supporting the production of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting outputs aligned to programme controls frameworks
• Ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting tools and outputs
• Working closely with project controls, PMO, and delivery teams to understand reporting requirements and tailor outputs to different stakeholder audiences
• Identifying trends, anomalies, and data issues within programme reporting and escalating or resolving them proactively
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, templates, and governance standards across the team
• Supporting the development and implementation of digital reporting solutions and BI tools within the programme environment
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
• Proven experience in a data reporting, MI, or project controls reporting role within a utilities, water, energy, or infrastructure environment
• Strong Power BI skills — dashboard development, DAX, Power Query, and report formatting to a professional standard
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Power Query and data transformation
• Understanding of project controls reporting concepts — cost, programme, risk, and performance
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce consistently accurate and audit-ready reporting outputs
• Good stakeholder communication skills with the ability to present reporting outputs clearly to non-technical audiences
• A methodical, organised approach to managing multiple reporting deliverables simultaneously
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience
Desirable
• Experience working in a utilities, water, or energy programme reporting environment
• Experience with Primavera P6 exports and translating schedule data into reporting outputs
• Familiarity with Power Automate for reporting workflow automation
• SQL experience for data extraction and manipulation
• Experience within a consultancy, PMO, or programme management environment
• Knowledge of WBS, CBS, and OBS reporting structures
