Reporting Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a Reporting Analyst to join the team on a major industrial programme at Tata Steel in Port Talbot. This role is primarily site-based, requiring four days per week on site, supporting the business with accurate, timely, and insightful data reporting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in collating, analysing, and presenting operational and project data to support decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Produce regular reports, dashboards, and KPI trackers to support operational delivery and stakeholder decision-making
Collate data from multiple sources and systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness
Analyse trends and patterns in data, flagging risks, issues, and opportunities to relevant stakeholders
Develop and maintain reporting templates and automated reporting tools to improve efficiency
Work closely with managers, engineers, and other teams to understand reporting requirements
Support audits and data quality checks, ensuring data integrity across systems
Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Maintain documentation of reporting processes and data governance standards
Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes across the business
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a data reporting, MI, or data analyst role, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or a major project environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables); experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data accuracy
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to varied audiences
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines
Experience working within a Common Data Environment (CDE) or Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) is desirable
Desirable
Experience within the steel, manufacturing, or major industrial infrastructure sector
Familiarity with SQL or other data querying tools
Understanding of operational controls, KPIs, and reporting cycles
Previous experience working on or with major industrial programmes
