THE OPPORTUNITY
Pace Digital are working exclusively with a leading infrastructure consultancy to appoint a Senior Data Reporting Analyst to join their utilities-focused project controls and reporting team in London. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced reporting specialist to take ownership of the reporting function across a portfolio of major utilities programmes — spanning water, energy, and regulated asset delivery — producing the dashboards, management information, and executive-level reporting that drive strategic decision-making across some of the UK's most critical capital programmes.

THE ROLE — WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As Senior Data Reporting Analyst you will take ownership of the end-to-end reporting function across a portfolio of major utilities infrastructure programmes. You will lead the development and continuous improvement of reporting products, dashboards, and management information — acting as the senior reporting voice for programme directors, client teams, and senior stakeholders. This is a hands-on, senior delivery role with real influence over reporting strategy, data governance, and team standards.
• Leading the design, development, and continuous improvement of Power BI dashboards, reporting products, and management information packs across major utilities programmes
• Taking ownership of the end-to-end reporting function — from data collection and validation through to executive-level output production and distribution
• Producing accurate, validated, and insightful reporting outputs tailored to the needs of programme directors, senior client stakeholders, and programme boards
• Driving data quality, governance, and reporting standards across multiple contractor packages and programme workstreams
• Supporting cost, programme, risk, and performance reporting in line with project controls frameworks including WBS, CBS, and OBS structures
• Identifying trends, risks, anomalies, and opportunities within programme reporting data and communicating findings clearly to senior stakeholders
• Leading the continuous improvement of reporting processes, templates, and governance frameworks across the team
• Mentoring and supporting junior reporting analysts, setting standards and sharing knowledge across the function
• Working closely with project controls, PMO, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure reporting outputs are aligned to programme requirements and stakeholder needs
• Championing a digital-first approach to reporting — supporting the adoption of automation, BI tools, and innovative reporting solutions across the programme environment
• Acting as the primary reporting contact for senior internal and client-side stakeholders, building trusted relationships at programme director level
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
• Proven experience as a Senior Data Reporting Analyst, Reporting Manager, or equivalent within a utilities, water, energy, or regulated infrastructure programme environment
• Strong, demonstrable Power BI skills advanced dashboard development, DAX, data modelling, Power Query, and semantic layer design to an executive reporting standard
• Deep understanding of project controls reporting frameworks cost, programme, risk, and performance — and how they underpin management information in a major programme environment
• Experience owning and leading a reporting function across a complex, multi-package, multi-stakeholder programme
• Proven data governance and quality management capability with the ability to set and maintain standards across a regulated programme environment
• Excellent stakeholder management skills confident and credible at senior level with both internal teams and client-side programme directors
• Ability to work autonomously at a senior level, taking full ownership of outputs and proactively managing priorities across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Degree in a relevant numerate discipline or equivalent industry experience
Desirable
• Experience on major utilities programmes including AMP8 water, energy transition, or regulated asset investment programmes
• Experience with Primavera P6 and translating schedule and programme data into executive reporting outputs
• Familiarity with Power Automate for reporting workflow automation and distribution
• SQL or Python experience for data extraction and manipulation
• Experience within a programme management consultancy, PMO, or project controls environment
• Knowledge of digital reporting best practice and BI governance within highly regulated programme environments
